Rural Skills and Social Group

A weekly free to join community social group at the farm, helping adults of all ages to try some new experiences, learn new skills and connect with other like-minded people.

School Holiday Activities
This year we’ll be offering holiday activities over the Easter and Summer school holidays.
Easter Holidays
We’re offering the chance for families to come down and help our team with the morning animal feed over the Easter break. It’s a great opportunity for children of all ages to meet our animals up close, and learn more about their care.
Available Dates:
Every day over the Easter holidays, 14th – 25th April (excluding bank holidays)
Times: 9:00am – 10:00 am
£10 per family. No need to formally book in, just come along to the farm for 9 am!
Summer Holidays 2025 – Dates Coming Soon!

Community Workshops
We run various community workshops throughout the year, including floristry, animal care, rural crafts and car maintenance. These are aimed at helping people learn new skills and build their confidence – jump in and have a go!
Head to our Bonterre Blooms website for more information on our upcoming workshops and to book your place!

Farm to Fork Days
Farm visits for community groups, to see a working farm, understand where their food comes from and what is involved in producing it.
We can tailor visits to suit any group, including Duke of Edinburgh and National Citizen Service groups, faith groups, scouts and guides.

Ready Steady Cook Challenge Events
Events for larger groups, where teams have a set amount of time to plan, pick and cook a three course meal, incorporating produce from the farm.

Cookery on the Farm
Supported by the Tesco Stronger Starts Scheme
Cookery activities for children, helping them to understand where their food comes from and teaching skills in how to cook healthy and affordable meals.
