University Student Placements
Bonterre offers a unique placement experience for students studying Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Dietetics, in partnership with the University of Worcester.
Students have the opportunity to develop their understanding of therapy within an outdoor, alternative education setting, working with young people with a wide range of needs using a trauma-informed, person-centred and holistic approach.
Students learn to assess needs, set goals, plan and deliver interventions, using the natural environment, practical activities and creative resources around them to support young people to participate and thrive.
Our placements are student-led and flexible, with a supportive approach to learning that recognises every student learns differently. Guidance and supervision is provided by Practice Educator, Emma Nokes, while students are encouraged to use their initiative, develop their own ideas and become an active part of the Bonterre team.
Students with a proactive and professional attitude who are happy to work outdoors in all weathers and willing to get stuck in thrive on placement at Bonterre!
